Hello, I’m Dr. Rebecca-Jane McAllister, and I’m passionate about providing personalized, evidence-based chiropractic care that helps my patients feel their best. My approach combines manual treatments, education, and rehabilitation
exercises to empower you to take charge of your health and live a balanced, active life.
I graduated from the University of Windsor in 2015 with my Bachelor of Human Kinetics Honours [Major: Movement Science Co-op & Minor: Psychology] degree. I then completed my Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2019. Additionally, I’ve earned my certification in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University. I’m also one of a few chiropractors in Calgary certified to offer the GLA:D Back Program, an international research study and program designed by researchers and therapists
at the University of Southern Denmark in partnership with the University of Alberta, to help people with persistent or recurrent low back pain.
Although I treat a variety of muscle, nerve, bone, and joint conditions, I find particular fulfillment in helping patients manage their low back pain, especially
those dealing with disc herniations or sciatica.
Over the years, I’ve gained a wide range of clinical experiences in practices across the country, including Summerside, PEI, Bowmanville, ON, Oshawa, ON,
Yellowknife, NWT, and Calgary, AB. Currently, I practice alongside a family doctor/walk-in clinic in SE Calgary, being their in house provider for all muscle, nerve, bone, and joint pain! I also practice
part-time at other clinic locations in Calgary and Chestermere. I also provide the GLA:D Back Program in person, as well as virtually, within my private practice along with the University of Calgary.
I am also actively involved in the profession beyond clinical practice, serving on the Board of Directors for the Chiropractic Association of Alberta. As a lifelong learner, I continually seek ways to grow and better serve my patients. In 2019, I participated in a chiropractic outreach to the Dominican Republic,
treating over 1,100 patients alongside my peers and colleagues in areas where access to healthcare is limited. This experience deepened my appreciation for the burden of muscle, nerve, bone, and joint pain while concurrently emphasizing the importance of a collaborative, interprofessional approach to care, which I bring into my practice every day.
Outside of practice, you’ll often find me enjoying a good book with a cup of coffee, spending time with friends and family, or exploring the great outdoors! I look forward to working with you and supporting your journey toward better health.
